Substantial Hailstones and Broad Destruction

Residents observed large ice chunks reaching sizes of 7 centimeters in some areas. The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed that various areas across Queensland had been impacted by large hailstones.

Moist weather were expected to linger along significant areas of eastern Queensland this next several days as a low-pressure trough continued to pull in damp air against the coastal areas.
